Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arriv Cochin and Drive To Munnar (Appx. 05Hrs.)
Upon arrival at Cochin meet and greet at the Airport or Railway Station. Later we proceed towards the hill station of Munnar. Cosseted by lush greeneries, guarded by captivating hills and mountains, and fringed with never-ending tea plantations, Munnar is also known as the ‘Nature Lover’s Paradise’ and will surely hold you captive throughout your stay. On the way you can visit Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls. Arriving in this hilly retreat, you will be checked-in to a hotel or a resort. Overnight stay at Munnar hotel/resort..
Day 2 :
Munnar Local Sightseeings
Brace the playful morning light and wake up to a beautiful morning at the hotel/resort. Get freshened up and enjoy a healthy breakfast. Post this, you will be guided for a full day sightseeing tour wherein you will be visiting the important landmarks and other important places in Munnar. Start the tour with Echo Point, Kundala Lake, Kundala Dam, Mattupetty Lake & Mattupetty Dam, Munnar Boating, Munnar Tea gardens, Munnar Tea museum & Tea factory, Munnar Elephant Ride(Own cost), Rose (Blossom) Garden, Pothamedu View Point, Hydel Park, Photo Shooting Points & Tea Powder Shopping. During the day, you will also visit Eravikulam National Park(Entry tickets own cost) where you can enjoy spotting the exotic Nilgiri Tahr and several other wildlife species. Overnight stay will be in Munnar hotel.
Day 3 :
Munnar to Thekkady (04Hrs.)
Today morning, following your breakfast at the Munnar hotel/resort, pack your bags and check-out from the hotel/resort. Hereafter, you will be driven towards the gorgeous Thekkady town. Thekkady is located near to Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Following your arrival in the town, settle down in a hotel/resort and relax . Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 4 :
Thekkady Local Sightseeings
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing in Thekkady, embark on a rustic tour to the Periyar National Park, a protected reserve forest, which is home to a stunning variety of flora and fauna. It is bound to wake up and give pleasure to the nature lover in you. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs. Close to Periyar National Park is the Periyar Lake, one of the largest artificial lakes in India. Take a boat ride here to truly bask in the true beauty of the place. Coming back from the boat ride, you can go for local shopping & visit spice plantations also. Also see Kathakali Show, Kalaripayattu Show, (if time permits, at own cost) Overnight stay in Thekkady hotel/resort.visit the Periyar wildlife sanctuary spread across 777 Sq. KM. of which 360 Sq KM is the thick evergreen forest. The Periyar wildlife sanctuary was declared as a Tiger Reserve in 1978 noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wildlife and scenic beauty. Boating at Periyar Lake( Own Cost ) , Spice Plantation visit, Elephant Ride( Own Cost ) , Tea Garden Tour done at extra cost. Come to the Hotel before Dinner & enjoy your delicious dinner at a hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Thekkady.
Day 5 :
Thekkady to Kumarakom (04Hrs.)
Post breakfast in the morning, leave by Road for Kumarakom. Upon arrival in Kumarakom, The rest of the day is free to absorb the serenity of your beautiful resort. Kumarakom the charming emerald peninsula jutting into the ever-effervescent Vembanad Lake takes you into the heart of the scenic lake where you'll come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. Sightseeing in Kumarakom includes Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (entrance ticket and boat charges as per actual), an ornithologist's paradise is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Overnight stay at Kumarakom.
Day 6 :
Kumarakom to Kovalam (04Hrs.)
Check out from the Hotel and proceed to the next destination. On arrival in Kovalam, check in to the Hotel. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse-sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programmes, Catamaran cruising etc. The tropical sun acts so fast that one can see the faint blush of coppery tan on the skin in a matter of minutes. Life on the beach begins late in the day and carries on well into the night. Sightseeing in Trivandrum: Padmanabha Swami Temple, Kuthira Maligai Palace, Zoo, Art Gallery (All places close on Monday except Padmanabha Swami Temple).
Day 7 :
Kovalam Local Sightseeings
After breakfast, proceed for a day tour of Kovalam. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and true to its name the village offers an endless sight of coconut trees. Kovalam has three beaches separated by rocky outcroppings in its 17 km coastline, the three together form the famous crescent of the Kovalam beach. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing. You will visit Thiruvallam Parasuraman Temple, Lighthouse Beach, Kovalam Beach, Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, Hawah Beach, Vellayani Lake, Velli Tourist Village and Samudra Beach.
Day 8 :
Kovalam to Alleppey (04Hrs.)
Post breakfast we proceed to Alleppey by road. With the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers crisscrossing it, Alappuzha is a district immense natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of East by travellers from across the World, this backwater country is home to diverse animal and birdlife. Today, Alappuzha is an important backwater destination attracting several thousand foreign tourists every year. Alappuzha is also famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry. A singularity of this land is the region called KUTTANAD, a land of lush paddy fields referred to as the rice bowl of Kerala and one of the few places in the World where farming is done below sea level. Day 9 :
Allepey to Cochon / Departure (02Hrs.)
With today’s breakfast within the houseboat, you will reach the final point of your amazing Kerala tour! Post breakfast, you will be checked-out from the houseboat and driven back to Cochin. Arriving at Cochin International Airport, wish adieu to the salubrious locales and the magical backwaters of Kerala. Tour ends !!
